Job Description

Hexadecimal Software is hiring a Junior/Mid-Level Odoo Developer (Contract) with 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in Odoo backend development. The ideal candidate must have working knowledge of Odoo 18 and a strong understanding of Odoo's ORM, business flows, and module development. Responsibilities include developing custom Odoo modules, integrating third-party apps, resolving backend issues, and collaborating with functional teams. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Roles and responsibilities

• Develop and customize Odoo 18 modules as per business requirements
• Troubleshoot and debug Odoo backend issues
• Integrate Odoo with third-party applications and APIs
• Collaborate with functional consultants to understand project requirements
• Participate in code reviews and ensure code quality
• Deploy and maintain Odoo instances in development and production environments
• Contribute to process improvements and best practices

Skills

• 2 to 3 years of experience in Odoo backend development
• Hands-on experience with Odoo 18
• Strong Python programming skills
• Good understanding of Odoo ORM, business flows, and security concepts
• Experience with PostgreSQL, XML, and QWeb templates
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Proficiency with Git and version control
• Good verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
• Knowledge of Odoo deployment and server management
• Experience with Odoo frontend (JavaScript, OWL) is a plus
