Stamp Duty in Goa
Stamp duty in Goa is a tax levied by the state government on property transactions. The current stamp duty rates in Goa are 3.5% for male buyers, 3.5% for female buyers, and 3.5% for joint ownership.
In addition to stamp duty, buyers must also pay registration charges of 3% of property value to complete the property registration process. These charges are mandatory for legal transfer of property ownership.
Note: Slab-based: 3.5% up to Rs 50 lakh, 4% for Rs 50-75 lakh, 4.5% for Rs 75L-1 Cr, 5% for Rs 1-5 Cr, 6% above Rs 5 Cr. No gender concession.
