Stamp Duty in Rajasthan
Stamp duty in Rajasthan is a tax levied by the state government on property transactions. The current stamp duty rates in Rajasthan are 6% for male buyers, 5% for female buyers, and 6% for joint ownership.
In addition to stamp duty, buyers must also pay registration charges of 1% of property value to complete the property registration process. These charges are mandatory for legal transfer of property ownership.
Note: Joint (M+F) is 6%. Additional 20% labour cess on stamp duty. SC/ST/BPL women pay 4%. Computed on higher of transaction value and DLC (circle) rate.
How is Stamp Duty Calculated?
Stamp Duty = Property Value × Stamp Duty Rate (%)
- Property Value = Market value or agreement value (whichever is higher)
- Stamp Duty Rate = Varies by state, gender, and property type
- Registration Charges = Typically 1% of property value
