Historical Significance

Chittorgarh Fort has witnessed three major sieges:

🔹 1303: Alauddin Khilji attacked for Rani Padmini

🔹 1535: Bahadur Shah of Gujarat led another siege

🔹 1567: Akbar’s army laid the final major attack

Each time, the Rajput warriors chose death before dishonor, and the women committed Jauhar (mass self-immolation). These acts etched the fort's name in India’s valiant history.
